It's been a while since I last posted and although still on hiatus - I feel I need to do the Writer's Workshop for today that Mama Kat hosts.
So today I will...
1. Be positive. So much worrying and so much time I spend "thinking" about the "what-ifs" does nothing for me. So today...I am going to focus on being positive.
2. Focus. I have a midterm tonight and one tomorrow that I have not really studied much for. It's time to focus. It's time to let all the things in my mind escape and stay focused on the task at hand.
3. Be confident. I will remind myself that everything is out of my control and I will stand confident in knowing that whatever happens was meant to happen.
4. Take a deep breath the moment I feel stressed.
5. Take care of me.
Families are the compass that guide us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter.

Still on Hiatus But...
saw this on a friend's page.
It looked fun...so I played along! Plus it is "relaxing" my mind during this huge homework project I have!
This is what it says:
You have little interest in your financial investments. You are not driven by material wealth and prefer to see where destiny takes you.
Somewhat true. I am NOT driven by material wealth but I am interested in my investments.
You are bubbly and approachable. Unrestricted by the latest fashion trends, you buy clothes only when they look good on you.
Definitely true!
Variety is the spice of life! You are comfortable in any crowd or situation, and always come away with new friends.
Hmmm. Yes and no. Definitely NOT always comfortable in any crowd or situation. BUT a lot of times I do come away with new friends! Once I loosen up that is!
You are a very practical person. It's more important to you that the things you own are useful, rather than nice to look at.
Eh. Mostly true but I do like nice things to look at!
Loves to talk to friends - keeps in close contact with friends. You are very outgoing and have no problem saying what you think.
Eh. Somewhat. I LOVE to talk to my friends and keep in contact. BUT I would not say I am very outgoing and definitely don't always say what I think! (Learned not to do that! Most people can't handle being told the truth! LOL!)
You are a no-nonsense, practical person. You make sure that you are there when your friends need you, and like to solve their problems for them.TRUE! Although I don't like to solve THEIR problems for them...I just like to help them as best I can. It's up to them to solve their own problems!

Hiatus
Just wanted to let you all know I am taking a hiatus for a bit. I have a TON of school work and other things going on that will keep me away from the web for a bit.
I will read when I can and comment when I can but I should be back to blogging soon enough! :)

Happy Easter!!!
Just wanted to wish all of you a very Happy Easter! :)
We will be heading over to my mother-in-law's house for an Easter Egg hunt and then up to the Fire Station to visit the hubby! Maybe if both the munchkin and I feel up to it, we will also head over to my friend's for a BBQ.
Our family will actually be celebrating Easter next Sunday when hubby is off!
I hope you all have an AWESOME holiday! :)

Croupy Crouperson
Our poor little munchkin has come down with croup. She woke up around 10 last night sounding really congested with a cough. The cough has now manifested into croup. For those that don't know what it sounds like...imagine the sound a seal makes. It's quite horrible sounding - especially from a child that is only 19 months old!
So that is what we are dealing with. For a good part of the day today, she acted like she felt okay (for the most part) - but that sound...coming out of that little child... is enough to alarm anyone! She has a slight fever and we have it under control with tylenol/motrin but she still feels warm to the touch. She was also given some medication from her doctor to help her breathe better. :)
We were told that one of use should sleep in her room with her throughout the night. Right now we have the monitor on and can hear her - but once we decide to go to bed - we'll be taking shifts. I am a new mommy and I don't want to rely on the monitor (which already has major volume issues) so we'll be on shifts tonight. It was Erik's idea to do the shifts. Last night was a longggg one for me so I am welcoming the shift work tonight! :)
So...here's praying for SOME sleep tonight....hope all of you have some too!

Nonsense or Adsense...
So I am sure you fellow bloggers have seen where you can allow ads on your blog and receive "compensation" for clicks. I got suckered into just now when I saw a few other blogs that had it on there.
Anyone doing this and actually receiving money for it? One friend received a check for $32. Wow. I wonder how many clicks that took to get! LOL!
At any rate...just looking for feedback to see if any of you have done this??

Sorry :(
There will not be a Thankful Tuesday today as I have SO MUCH going on that I don't think I'd even have time to participate! :(
Hopefully next week I'll be back at it again!

FFF
It's been a while since I have done one of Kimmy's Fabulous Foto Fridays! I have A LOT of pictures to share...hope you don't mind!
LOVE this pic of the munchkin sleeping...
Here she is in her Easter dress. We decided to take her to see that big expensive bunny at the mall. These were before pictures...
Some of them aren't the best quality because on our video camera we can pull pictures out of video that is being taken. The dark pictures are from video.
When we got to the mall, munchkin was a little unsure about the big bunny so we decided, since we paid for a membership we never used, to head over to the portrait study to see if they could just squeeze her in. They were able to and these were the shots we chose:
They don't look the best because they are a picture of a picture - and a picture wrapped in shrink wrap nonetheless. BUT...I didn't want to take them out of the protective covering until we hung them up. You get the point though! I need to either take the pics to work and use that scanner there or use someone else's scanner to scan some of these. I hope to do that here soon!
At any rate...the princess was SO WELL BEHAVED all day long!!! It was amazing how well she did! It took FOREVER it felt like but we were pleased in the outcome. She now has a new found love for merry-go-rounds so before we made our way home, we let her have a whirl!
If you want to be part of the cool kid's club...head on over to Kimmy's and share your pictures! I won't be able to link up since I will be in my class from 8-4 tomorrow but hopefully someone will be kind enough to link me up!!!!
Hope you all have an amazing weekend!!!!!
